Grandma Mole's Snickerdoodle Cookies

My grandson told me I should put my cookie recipes online so that more people could try them. I thought it was a great idea!

Here's my snickerdoodle cookie recipe. My grandson says that this is the best cookie recipe I have.

I'm putting it here for you internet folks to try.

This recipe has been passed down for generations from my great-great grandmother. I think you will love it!

It's very easy to make and enjoy. Everyone I've made the cookies for have only good things to say.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar.
  3. Beat in eggs, then stir in vanilla.
  4. Combine of all-purpose flour, of baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar in a separate bowl. Stir into the creamed mixture.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Make 1 inch balls of dough and roll them in the sugar and cinnamon mixture to coat them.
  8. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet, and bake for 10 minutes.
  9. Take the cookie sheet out of the oven and remove the cookies from the pan immediately.
  10. Eat the cookies when they are cool.
